California Children's Services
California Children’s Services (CCS) is a medical program for diagnosing and treating people age birth to 21 years of age diagnosed with certain physically disabling medical conditions. Examples of CCS eligible conditions include, but are not limited to chronic medical conditions such as:
  • Cancer
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Cystic fibrosis
  • Heart disease
  • Hemophilia
  • Infectious diseases that result in long-term injuries to specific organs
  • Traumatic injuries

Covered treatments may include devices, prosthetics, and physical and occupational therapy to children under age 21 with CCS eligible conditions. Some CCS services are provided at local public schools.

This tax supported program provides specialized medical care and rehabilitation for children whose families cannot provide all or part of the care. CCS funds can be used to supplement Medi-Cal or other insurances.
