The following pool rules apply to the Columbia, Sonora, Tuolumne and Twain Harte Pools.
General Pool Rules
No wrestling, rough housing, no dunking or horseplay
No tag on deck
No snapping towels
No hanging on ropes or lane lines
No ball playing in the pool area
No masks, fins, snorkels, water wings, ring buoys,
or other "water aides" and water toys
No life jackets unless they are a Coast Guard approved Type 1 or Type 2 jacket
Older kids stay out of the wading pool unless supervising a younger child (SONORA ONLY)
No hanging on the mushroom (SONORA ONLY)
No hanging on each other’s shoulders
Food in designated areas only
No unhemmed swim trunks
Keep music from radios low
From the side:
Front dives only! Dives must be into water at least 6' deep. STATE LAW! No diving from wall to wall at the corners.
From the board:
Dive straight off the end of the board and swim to the nearest side
No diving until the previous diver is on the side
No back dives, flips, gainers, seat drops, etc. for ANYONE
Only one bounce on the board
Only one person on the board at a time
All children must clear the pool the last 10 minutes of every hour for a 10-minute break. Adults (18 & over) may remain in the pool. Children may not sit on the side of the pool during the break.
NO SMOKING OR USE OF OTHER FORMS OF TOBACCO!!
NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS!!
Patrons are expected to cooperate with the pool personnel at all times. Rules are enforced for the safety of the patrons and additional rules may be administered if necessary.
